Kathleen Kronn, LCSW, CADC

Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychotherapist

Katie is a graduate from Purdue University with a double major in psychology and law and society. She earned her Masters of Social Work from Aurora University. Her efficacy in therapy is established from her patience, sincerity, optimism and ability to be a perceptive listener.

Her therapeutic approach is adapted based on the client’s needs and social systems. Katie has experience working with children, adolescents, and families, being mindful of change occurring within the individual and family dynamic. She collaborates with schools, families, doctors, the legal system and other sources to assist in advocating for her client’s needs.

Katie’s level of expertise includes individual, group, and family therapy. She implements mindfulness, assertiveness training, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and other methods to address substance dependence/abuse, anxiety, trauma, depression, and other emotional and behavior problem areas. She has specialized in bullying and self-esteem with adolescents.

Claudia Skowron, LCPC, CADC

Claudia is a licensed clinical professional counselor who has also attained her CADC certification. She graduated summa cum laude from Illinois State University earning her Master’s degree in Clinical-Counseling Psychology. Her previous experience consists of working in a community mental health center in central Illinois on an outpatient basis. She then transitioned to the northwest suburbs of Chicago where she began working with adolescents struggling with severe emotional and behavioral distress at the inpatient and partial hospitalization level. She has also trained, mentored, and supervised younger clinicians and enjoys teaching.

Claudia has extensive experience conducting Cognitive-Behavioral, Dialectical-Behavioral, and Motivational Interviewing therapies. Yet, her therapeutic approach is eclectic, meeting the needs of her clients. “A certain approach that works with one individual may not resonate with another; it’s my role as a therapist to meet each client where they are in treatment and adapt the most appropriate therapeutic interventions.”

Claudia enjoys working with adolescents and families, as well as young adults and young couples. Her level of expertise shines in individual and group therapy, and she is frequently attending conferences and trainings to stay up to date on the newest therapeutic treatment modalities.

Claudia is also fluent in Polish.

Phet Coggin, LCPC

Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychotherapist

Phet is a licensed clinical professional counselor who specializes in providing individual counseling for adults, adolescents, children and their families. She received her Master’s degree in counseling from Northern Illinois University. Her experience includes working in the community outpatient agency, hospital, and school settings. Phet has working knowledge of IEPs and 504 plans, and continues to collaborate with schools with recommendations while advocating for her client’s needs. She has extensive experience working with clients in crisis and assisting with stabilization.

Phet’s approach is client-centered and individualized to meet her client’s current needs.
Her goal is to assist clients to reach their potential well being through education, teaching, and modeling skills, while assisting to identify barriers that prevent change. She is an empathic and compassionate listener who assists her clients in creating positive changes. Her therapy approach is guided by dialectical-behavioral and cognitive behavioral therapy.

As Phet views humankind as ever-changing, she analyzes and imparts valuable counsel to her clients accordingly. Phet recognizes the complexities and sophistication of today’s society and the diverse residents living in it; she is also able to discern that each client is unique. Her versatile approach, therefore, is key in restoring clients confidence, core values, and competence.

Alicia Kimball, LCSW, R-DMT, GLCMA

Child, Adolescent, and Adult Psychotherapist

Alicia is a licensed clinical social worker, registered dance/movement therapist and graduate Laban certified movement analyst. She has experience working with children and families in DCFS, adults in inpatient treatment, intensive outpatient programs, individual and group outpatient therapy as well as members of the LGBTQIAA community. Alicia graduated with a bachelors in Sociology and Spanish from North Central College in Naperville. She then continued on to receive her Masters in Social Work from University of Illinois at Chicago, as well as her Alternate Route Dance/Movement Therapy Certificate and Graduate Laban Certified Movement Analyst certificate from Columbia College in Chicago.

Alicia has a client focused approach to therapy, where she often utilizes a variety of therapeutic modalities such as strengths based therapy, solutions focused therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, mindfulness and meditation, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, dance/movement therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy. She also helps clients to identify healthy relationship qualities and techniques to support them in their path to wellness. In Alicia’s sessions, she often utilizes compassion, openness, acceptance, and caring with her clients. She gives them permission to feel comfortable as the person they are and support them in growing in whichever direction is best for their lives right now. She believes it is her job as a therapist to support clients in exploring what will help them to be healthiest in their lives. She also supports clients in identifying how they can continue to work towards their well-being in their lives outside of the therapy session.
